Corbin 38 Bethlehem 8

Featured Replies

Corbin pretty much did what they wanted to tonight against an undersized Eagle team. Reserves played the 4th quarter.

Did Lance Freeman get any snaps behind center last night??? I would think that a good coaching staff would get him prepared for not only next year, but in case of an injury to Cashen this year. He is a good looking athlete and QB prospect and needs some experience.

Yes, he and freshman Roman Mitchell got some snaps. Both are good athletes and QB prospects for the up comming year.

Other than being undersized, some of you Redhound fans give me your thoughts on Bethlehem. Or some game highlights?

Hearsay,

Bethlehem has a good looking tailback who broke a TD run on Corbin. He had some speed but I do not remember his number. They are a bit undersized but they make up for it by playing hard. Seemed to be well coached, for the most part they did not make mental errors. There were young so they have a good upside and they can take alot of positives away from this game. They played Corbin tough in the 1st quarter especially, only allowing 7 points. Corbin started to lean on them and got 10 more in the second Qtr. Even though the hounds started to pull away, it was not as easy as the score indicated. This game will help them prepare for thier game with rival Bardstown...

WTG Redhounds good luck the reason of the season..........from E-town

Well the hounds are playing there usual football, tough, and making a name for themselves, good luck guys and dont get too cocky.

Corbin stats:

Cashen 8-16 for 122 yards and 1 TD

Sewell - 76 yds rushing

Fritts - 54 yds rushing

Campbell - 42 yds rushing

Madon had 77 yds receiving with 1 TD.

Bardstown Beth.

Stanley - 122 yds rushing

Greenwell 5-19 for 37 yds.

I am proud of Bethlehem for scheduling a team like Corbin. I am proud of the way they hung in there. That is a long, long drive for a Class A team who is playing with 9 of 11 new starters on both sides of the ball, and frankly half the team is first year players. They are 0-3 but this will serve them well as they enter district play this coming week.

I am going to apologize for showing my ignorance here and then ask the question any way. Watkins got a 5 yard gain on a carry and ran the ball in for a touch down that the ref called no good. (This run set up CJ Lights one yard TD the next play) Don't these yards go into the stats? Just curious.
