Lex Cath was not very good in its scrimmage against Trinity, I believe losing 35-6 in three quarters and not scoring a touchdown. That was with the uber talented Shane Israel playing. Without Israel, LC has little chance to beat X. X has gotten most of its starters back and will win this game easily.

St. Xavier 42

Lexington Catholic 21

I cannot see how Lexington Catholic has improved that much over last year, and I believe St. Xavier is better.

Don't you just love flying this low under the radar! :sssh: :D :sssh:

Ox, we are flying under the radar thus far because we have merited under the radar treatment, based upon scrimmages and regular season. Trinity beat these guys badly in a scrimmage, but the Rocks seem to be firing on all cylinders and may have one of their all time great teams. If Israel plays for Cath and X again has a number of players out with injuries, look for a very tight affair. Predictions for this game are fraught with uncertainty because of the injury bug for both teams. Assuming everyone plays for both teams, X 28-14.

St Xavier by 3 in a close one !

#6 hits a 38 yard field goal right hash with 15 seconds on the clock

Wow, #6 wouldn't happen to be related, would he? What year is # 6? Does # 6 play soccer? College plans, Louisville may need a good kicker in the next few years?

Lex Cath has averaged over 50 points a game for the first 2 games, but I don't think they can score 50 on the St. X defense. With Matt Smith and Trevor Foy back on the d-line throwing the ball will become a little more difficult, and with Lex Cath's best running back playing at less than 100%, if he plays at all, it will put more pressure on the passing game. I look for several long drives by the St. X offense and the Tigers will pick off a couple of LC passes to come away with a 28-14 victory.

No relation to me but I do know him and he is a great young man. Works very hard at his kicking craft #6, Andrew Boscher is simply put the best kicker I have seen on the High school level since Tim Dourgherty Purdue now going to UofL , John Payne UofL walk on next season, Leo Fante EKU , Patrick Mossholder Uof L, Collins Cogan not sure where he played or if in fact he did at the next level but he was great at X , Justin Bickett University of Indianapolis, Cory Miles Punter University of Indianapolis,Chris Savori Punter University of Louisville, Ben Boscher Air Force who by the way is related to # 6 he is his older brother who happened to win state with a kick against Trinity in their the first state game matchup3-0.

Thats a long line of winning tradition in those special teams kicking spots.

Not sure there is another High School in this state that has produced kickers and punters that go to the next level that consistently if so please let me know.

And watch next year for Wyatt Grey another great one in the works and a freshman named Scott Raque behind him.

You got to love TRADITION

As discussed above, the injury situation may be a factor in this game. The latest word is that X will be without the services of three players, two of whom appear headed for Bowl division (the old 1A) schools next year. Lex Cath may be without one starter, a possible eventual 1A player. Will this affect the outcome? Why or why not?

LexCath has better than adequate backups at RB in Raglin, Nallia, and Devon Williams.
