Smith, Foy, and Allgeier all returned. Harvey also played some. Conley, Heuser, and Devine are still out.

Heuser has been working out and appears to be making very good progress. He may return sooner than expected which is great news!

Thnaks Ox. Wasn't Devine the second stringer who broke his jaw?

Will Conley or Heuser play this weekend?

Besides Israel, any other injuries on LC?

Actually Ben Devine was also considered a starter. Heuser, Hilt, Devine and Combs rotated amongst the three linebacker slots. When Heuser was injured against Henry Clay, Devine took Heuser's MLB slot fulltime until he was injured against Ballard. The loss of Heuser has really hurt. He was our "Whiting" on defense.

I thought he would be your "Weiflauf".

Having seen both teams, I believe LexCath actually has the better skill folks and their line is as big as St. Xavier's. Maybe the Knights can win this one against their old president, Bill Glaser , who now coaches the defensive live line for the Tigers. LexCath has to prove it on the field. I'll take St. X 24-21 in overtime as LexCath turns it over on an interception in the extra period.

There is actually alot of difference this year. I dont want to make an excuse for a 47-0 game but its alittle different. Last year it was Lexcaths first game of the season due to probation. Not to mention that they had basically new guys at basically at all of the positions except for RB, WR, DB, NG and MLB. Thats alot of new starters. It is at catholics house where they do play alot better. And by the way even though duece torched them, they are missing Vic which is huge.

I could be wrong, but I believe Vic was on the injured reserve list last year when we played Lex. Cath.?

X 24 Lex Cath 21

There seems to be two threads on X vs Lex Catholic. LC turn to win, home field advantage.

Anderson played played last year for sure ... and if I am not mistaken, he touched the ball about 6 times and scored either 3 or 4 times. Does anybody remember? In fact, one those touches was the first offensive play from scrimmage and it was for one of his touchdowns.

St. X 27-21.

Be ready for the cornfield spread if the Lex. Cath O sputters.

What's the cornfield spread? Enlighten us!

I have a feeling that most everyone has been underestimating St.X this year and that will turn around after this game.

It would be a big mistake to judge St.X by the Ballard game.
