Cornfed wasn't meant to be a negative comment about anyone's team or socio-economic being...geez. Pulaski and Southwestern do pull more kids from out on the farm than Somerset and they are always bigger in size than Somerset is. Somerset has to be good fundamentally, particularly up front, or PC and SWHS will simply man handle them. They also have to be conditioned well to consistently line up across from a bigger opponent, and Friday night, they were NOT conditioned/trained well. A/C in the field house or not they did not prepare stamina-wise for this game. Hence forth, they were being handled on the line as the game wore on, they were getting handled on stalk blocks, and they were simply out ran. Somerset's biggest player that sees active time up front may be Jordan Gossett or Michael Phelps, neither of which weighs more than 220, and that's probably the cumulative average of PC's line. When you are outconditioned as badly as Somerset, given those kind of numbers, it is bad.

Jumper fans should be grateful for the cornfed county boys' If it weren't for them, you guys couldn't field enough for a team from them streamlined city limits... Plus most of those boys would have been fine coming home out here in the county subdivision after school where they live, maybe its the city water that drew them to the the purple and gold....LOL

It's just pointless to have a forum between Somerset/PC/SWHS nobody can talk about the game. Guess that's why we love to hate each other, but I have commented postively on the players for PC, the size they field on a yearly basis, and how poorly we played. Couldn't field enough for a team? Coach Cobb is ridiculous? Since when is insulting anyone appropriate on BGP, unless constructively criticizing your own team? Grow up. Congrats to PC. SW and SHS get back on track this week. I love corn. I think Pulaski should keep eating corn before every game. Maybe it will make them play better and avoid those pesky cramps that nagged at Somerset's players. I bet that is what Southwestern feeds their team, because they handled the heat very well Friday night.
