Not talking about future book junk. Anyone who would bet on a game weeks from now is a chump. The real line comes out the week of the game. That's what I was talking about in this thread.

Here is a thread where you don't have to argue about the game to make a prediction. Personally I see it at anywhere from 7 to 9 1/2, but I think 7 is about right.

I figured it would be around that number. I would say with UL's performance on national TV the other night, the number is being pushed closer towards UL right now.

Lines are made according to betting patterns, not who Joe Smith the oddsmaker thinks will win the game and by how much.

 

The line getting lower shows that more and more people are putting money on UK to not get demolished, mainly due to how UL performed last Thursday night, not what UK has done thus far. Vegas is loving that UL did poorly last Thursday.

The line is set by the oddsmakers before a cent is bet. The opening line is the oddsmaker's true line. Then the money moves the line. I don't follow the rest of your post at all...Las Vegas doesn't care what UL did...
