I don't know about the roof story??? I have not heard that. I just heard we are on a rotation schedule and it is not our turn yet. I will post more if I find out.

 

The lighting is getting bad. It was not that terrible as people said it was a few years ago, but it is getting there fast now. The stadium itself is 84 years old, so I am not saying that it is as nice as a brand new one, it can't be; but it is historic and still a great place to watch a game (granted that we need new lights).

 

And if JCPS is trying to force the boosters to pay for new lighting that is bogus. That money is for the program. The school board bought lights for every other field they can buy our lights too. Lord knows our field has seen twice the use as most JCPS fields.

I guess Waggener is next on the list to get lights, they are the only ones (I think) left with wooden poles, one of which has a distinct lean to it.

 

I just can't believe the field recovered from the last game of the season, us and St. X tore it up very badly.

Danville's lighting is very good.

Belfry's lighting is very good as well... in fact tonight between the football and soccer fields it almost made em think it had suddenly turned morning cause the horizon was so lit up.

Highlands needs an upgrade in the lighting and the PA sound system departments.

And they could use a new horn on the scoreboard. I think the current one came out of that abandoned VW Bus they just removed from Grand Ave.

The lights are pretty much a done deal. Just waiting on a couple small details to make this thing 100%. I was informed that Highlands will have new lights before the home opener which is in a couple weeks. Yikes!!!!! I will let some greater minds fill in the blanks with the days to come.

I hope they don't resemble those low-level beams of death they had by the end zone during the Beechwood Scrimmage.

They are putting in a new Performing Arts Center which has a 750 seat theater, and they are putting a new weight room and locker rooms in. Also the old Elementary school next to the high school is the new Freshman school.
