Cheap Hotels near Bristol

Featured Replies

I think i might have just scored a couple tickets to Saturday night's race and im looking for a cheap hotel within 20-25 minutes of the track. I tried looking online but everything was sold out. Any help?

You won't find one any closer than Pikeville , KY . A few may be in Pigion Forge, but not cheap. Best of luck

Try around Abingdon VA, not too awful far and there are some hotels there, but probably not too cheap

We stayed in Abington afew years ago and the hotel rate was $119.00 not cheap in my book, but we couldn't stay the week and camp like we usually do so we had no choice.

Every hotel from Pikeville, KY to Asheville, NC and Knoxville, TN to Wytheville, VA will be full this weekend. Your best bet will be to sleep in your car and shower at a truck stop. Roughing it for a weekend is well worth it for the Bristol night race. It's awesome! :ylsuper:

I've roughed it on a trip to Talladega, and honestly it wasn't that bad.

Sounds like that is my best bet right now.

Good luck at the roughing it part. Hope we have a good race.

Try the Holiday Inn in Norton, VA...about halfway between Pikeville and Bristol on US 23...sleepy town that most people don't know about...

I checked and the closest Holiday Inn that has any available rooms is 87 miles away in North Carolina.

I never stay in a hotel in Bristol. I drive down early in the morning and drive back that night after the race(I dont drink though I guess that makes a difference LOL!!). Im not going this year cause Bristol falls on the saturday night of the Pike County Bowl (Somethings gotta change there!!).

My buddie tried to get a hotel race weekend one year at Bristol and wound up finding one just outside of Roanoke, Va. Thats a good location....If your watching a race at MARTINSVILLE!!!!LOL!!!

I would just take a tent or sleep in your car. Any hotel that you'll find at this point will probably be close to 2 hours away.

As hot as it is sleep under a tree.
