Jordan Whiting A Rivals 100 To Watch for 2009

Featured Replies

Not surprised... a fine young man that I would NOT want to run into carrying a football!

Jordan Whiting is an outstanding prospect! Top 100 in the country, but...........

he is not good enough to make the coaches' top 50 poll in the Lexington Herald Leader!

What is wrong here?

Maybe the state coaches know him better than whoever reports to Rival.com!

I am not sure what your point is?????

I do know that Jordan was at the UK camp and he left as the talk of the camp. He certainly passes the "looks" test. It comes as no surprise to me he would make the Rivals.com top 100 for 2009!

I know Ohio State has offered a full ride. That's good enough for me.

By no means is he a polished player yet. He understandably has a lot to learn. I would guess that right now he is on the same learning level as most good Junior lb's. But there is no denying that he possesses great physical tools and a willingness to work. He has, as they say, quite an upside.

As tcjkbt has stated, he is not a polished player, yet. He has a HUGE upside, just stand beside him. I'm glad he's on the defensive side for the ROCKS, but he still has a few things to learn, as do most juniors.

Let me add that he should learn a lot playing alongside Wes Weitlauf.

Is he a top 50 player in the state, polished or unpolished?

UK and Ohio State must think so, do you Villa T?

I think I read OSU is his number one choice. I didn't know they offered. I know UK got in very early but I'd guess we'll see him elsewhere.

Jordan will announce a verbal commitment to OSU, as told to Jody Demling, but understands that the recruiting process will carry on since there is nothing binding with a verbal commitment. He is 16 years old and was very impressed with Ohio State's facilities and staff.
