Toughest Place To Play

Featured Replies

Saw this in the Football Thread and thought it could be interesting.

What place is the toughest place to play as the visiting team and why?

This is the type of thread that can get negative very quickly. Please be careful with your comments.

No intent for it to become negative. I mean like the horn blowing crazies that used to rule the bank at Harrison County made some teams dread playing at Harrison County. Another example at Harrison was that the RF had to look into the sun all afternoon.

Anderson Co. for us, mainly because they just don't like us haha. They've got a little student section by right field and they let everyone know about it.

Not negative at all, and in fact I have been told that even they don't like to play on it... Beechwood with it's dirt infield and crazy outfield.....Hell of a team and program, just a lousy field to play on.....but I have been told things will get better soon. Good for them....

HC has got to be one, if not the, toughest place in the state to play. Especially come tournament time...

I would have to say up on the mountain in Letcher County ( I think) at Jenkins. It was a new field put right on top of a strip mine and it was like playing in a sand box. Hopefully things are better up there now! They were working hard..and we all know how tight money is in high school baseball

Knott played at Jenkins this past season and the field looked OK. It was having to deal with the wind that was a problem.
