I understand the premise of "playing" the punt and FG...but to me, FG's are gametime (no pun) but to be honest...at 1.3 kicks (punts and fg's) per game...we would only have to do one per scrimmage and be fine.

^ they DIDN't thanks.

That's a lot of potential hats to eat in all your posts, maybe you ought to slow down ColFan80.:D

A side not, Tim Philips is a beast!

Don't you mean Baby Beast? His two back ups aren't that bad themselves.

^ Zlaton is a fine kicker...they will have worked on that plenty...

2006 - Trinity punted 28 times in 15 games

2005 - 35 times in 15 games

2004 - 36 times in 12 games

2003 - 41 times in 15 games

2002 - 30 tmes in 15 games

2001 - 29 times in 14 games

Not a bad decade huh?

Trinity punted in '02? WOW! That O was one of the best and fastest ever.

We may not agree regarding the public/private issue and I may think that his arguments there have more holes then a Dunkin Donuts shop BUT I have never seen Jim McKee on the field demonstrate anything but and intense desire to succeed as well as a very good knowlege of the game of football. His teams are well coached and well prepared. While I will join in with anyone that wants to deride his views on a public/private split I am more then happy to defend him from what I see as unwarrented criticism about his coaching methods.

All of those reasons make it all the sweeter when we come out with the upper hand on them.:thumb:

I can definately second that. McKee is a really great person who wants the best for his program. Awesome personality and an extreme competitor.
