They have spent quite a bit of money--still only about half what the Yankees have spent. Oh, and they do have a World Series Title to show for it--the Yankees have put up a big donut with that $200 million payroll. But at least they did set postseason history during that span by losing a series they led 3-0. :fire:

Well, thought hat i was finished - you are correct in that the Red Sox have World Series title to show for it and I conradulate them on it.

Win 26 more and they will be even with the Yankees but not really, I am sure that the Yanks will win a few more before the Sox win 26 more. :D

Now I am finished with this one. Good Night Joe - LOL

^^Correction - I do believe that Boston has won a few more than one title, not sure on how many and too sleepoy to look it up. Anyway, they still have quite a ways to go to catch the Yankees. :D

UK...you are entitled, but I believe you know sports. Does A-Rod or the Yanks pick the teams he (they) play?...Good grief the man has 500 HRs.

The Cry Sox plays the same teams I think.

I don't believe the Red Sox have went almost a month without playing a team with a winning record though. The Yanks have a cakewalk the 2nd half of the season, it's the truth.

Like I said Big Blue, does the Yanks pick and choose who they play or does MLB do it? "WE" have trouble beating the DevilRays in the past, and in fact play the Red Sox tougher than the Rays.

UKMF..... I do believe that they are in the same league and division which meanms that tey play the same teams. "If" the Sox do not have a long stretch of bad teams that means that maybe they did in the 1st half when they built a 14 1/2 game lead which is now down to 6 or 7 I believe. Again, they play the same teams - at one time or another the Sox have played the same teams and unless they have worked another schedule that no one knows about that is the truth. :D

:thumb: :thumb: At any rate we may all be long gone from this earth when and if the Sox ever come close, let alone catch up.

If this is your argument for the Sox then it is very weak. As Bama stated, who makes out the schedules? If the Yankees are as bad as you say, then why is the schedule considered a "cakewalk"? The Sox are having a great year and the Yankees are struggling, no one is saying otherwise but I would not count the Yankees out just yet. There are still many games left and the Yanks & Sox will go head to head so things could get interesting.

I don't think that he is concerned with that. "If" he is then we will be on this earth forever. :sssh:
