August 4, 200719 yr With the final pick of the 8th round, the Banklick Swamp Gas select Brett Favre, QB, GB
August 4, 200719 yr With the final pick of the 8th round, the Banklick Swamp Gas select Brett Favre, QB, GB Hmmm...I was hoping he might drop much lower...I didn't want him bad enough to draft him yet, but I would have liked to got him as a backup...nice pick...:thumb:

August 6, 200719 yr ^ I could deal with second in my division and 8th overall considering I was drafting 16th.
August 6, 200719 yr ^ I could deal with second in my division and 8th overall considering I was drafting 16th. I would reather be in 1-3 and 13-16 than right in the middle where I am.
August 6, 200719 yr ^ I could deal with second in my division and 8th overall considering I was drafting 16th. If Jones-Drew's TD binge wasn't a fluke and Jacobs averages stay the same as a starter, you'll probably do a lot better than that...you'll have a TD bonanza going on in your backfield...:thumb:
August 6, 200719 yr That's what I'm banking on. Of course it's just as likely that MJD becomes a one season wonder and Jacobs breaks down under the stress of a full season load. But I'm hopeful!
August 6, 200719 yr My season will depend largely on whether Vince Young proves to be worth an early third round selection...I was willing to take the chance and I'm comfortable with it...if it doesn't pan out, oh well...
August 6, 200719 yr That's what I'm banking on. Of course it's just as likely that MJD becomes a one season wonder and Jacobs breaks down under the stress of a full season load. But I'm hopeful! I think Jacobs will be pretty solid...I'm not as confident in Jones-Drew repeating last year's performance, but I wouldn't be surprised. In any case, considering your draft position, I think selecting them in combo was a pretty good move. Myself, it's quite possible Vince Young would have been available with my 4th round pick, but I wanted him and didn't want to take the chance...we'll see if it was worth it.
August 8, 200719 yr I would reather be in 1-3 and 13-16 than right in the middle where I am.I'm the exact opposite, if I'm not 1-3 i'd rather be dead center.
