He's not trying and not willing do what they ask him to do. But I don't think they have any other options really.

I just can't bring myself to believe this. Listening to all the things about him, and listening to him talk, he just seems like a good guy. Plus he's got 2 rookies who from the sound of things are really coming along. Add into the fact that this is really a contract year for him, and he really needs to produce.

Levi Jones practicing

Wearing braces on both knees, Bengals left tackle Levi Jones is on the field this afternoon for practice. It is the first time he has practiced with the team this year.

Jones did not run with the first-team offense on its walkthrough. Andrew Whitworth stayed at left tackle.

Jones' appearance provides a lift to a team that has been hit hard by injuries in the preseason.

Starting cornerback Johnathan Joseph and starting fullback Jeremi Johnson are practicing, as well.

A Chris Perry sighting Tuesday.

He rejoined the team after spending training camp rehabbing a dislocated ankle in Atlanta, but wouldn't say much more than he's hopeful he can contribute once he comes off the physically unable to perform list (PUP) after the fifth game of the season.

The Bengals got back some of their players and some of their normalcy Monday when fullback Jeremi Johnson surfaced for the first time since December and Marvin Lewis cut practice in half a week before their next game. Some have pointed to typical camp legs as a big reason for Saturday's uninspiring loss. Certainly there is no more tired place than the secondary, where guys like Madieu Williams and Herana-Daze Jones are doing triple duty. But help arrived Monday.
