To Catch a Predator / Perverted Justice "antics" exposed

Featured Replies

My personal feeling....Almost ANY method of getting child predators off the street, is okay with me.

These offenders, are just consuming valuable oxygen from others. Bag 'em and tag 'em.

I thought you were talking about this kind of predator. They are tough to catch.

Those are hard to catch, I want to see a dateline about that

It would seem that at least in Kentucky, this is what they would have to charge them with.

530.064 Unlawful transaction with a minor in the first degree.

(1) A person is guilty of unlawful transaction with a minor in the first degree when he or she knowingly induces, assists, or causes a minor to engage in:

(a) Illegal sexual activity; or

(b) Illegal controlled substances activity other than activity involving marijuana;

Except those offenses involving minors in KRS Chapter 531 and in KRS 529.100 where that offense involves commercial sexual activity.

(2) Unlawful transaction with a minor in the first degree is a:

(a) Class C felony if the minor so used is less than eighteen (18) years old at the time the minor engages in the prohibited activity;

(b) Class B felony if the minor so used is less than sixteen (16) years old at the time the minor engages in the prohibited activity; and

© Class A felony if the minor so used incurs physical injury thereby.

I'm not sure this answers the question.

Every example above uses the terminology "causes the minor to engage in"...how can they be proven guilty for internet chats then just showing up at a location with the intent???

Is it the "induces" that could be the charge?? What if "induces" doesn't cause engagement???

I don't have an answer. It was the closest that I could come up with.

Me neither...no answer here.

Just wondering how these jurisdictions were making these things stick.

I hope there is a way because some of these guys are pretty frightening.

My suggestion regarding a child predator, would be to administer "Louisville Slugger" justice and save the tax payers, a lot of money.

That's a little harsh S3. These poor guys just suffer from too much testosterone. If we could reduce there testoserone levels to say, ZERO, I think that would do the trick. :D

I have no problem, with these utensils being used, in conjunction with a large bat....I'll be glad to help adjust, any child predator attitudes.
