Good Chiropractor in NKY

Featured Replies

I do not live in NKY so I acanot recemmend any there. I will say however that id a Chiropracter wants to do any adjustments at all without an x-ray first to confirm whether or not it is a condition that chiropractic can help then that would be a red flag to me. Just mentioning this bc I have known some to do just that.

A good chiropractor can feel what's wrong, and will know by that feeling whether to proceed with an adjustment or not. It's the ones who don't properly know what they are doing, or act in haste in order to keep the office visits flowing, who create the horror stories we sometimes hear about.

I find it difficult to believe that a chiropractor can determine what is wrong with someone just by feeling. They may have an idea what the problem may be but I truly doubt they could be 100% correct just by touch alone.

When I first went to Dr. Dinn he located the pain area, then he gave me a ice pack and tin unit to loosen it up. Then I went to the out patient at St. Luke hospital and they took 5 xrays. Then I went back the next day and he went over them showing what my problem was. He pin pointed it as I have no more pain and as long as I do the exercises he gave me I feel great. JD

Skilled, experienced chiropractors can. My father hasn't used an X-ray in more than 30 years, and he has people coming to him from all over Ky, Indiana and Ohio, mostly through word of mouth. As far as I know, he's never even been threatened to be sued. That's because if he can't fix your problem, he doesn't have you keep coming back and trying again and making the problem worse, like less-experienced and more greed-driven chiros might do. He sends you on your way to someone else if he can't fix it.

Your father may have been the exception and I applaud his success but I stand by my previous statement. I agree they can get a general idea of the problem but to be 100% exact based on touch alone is hard for me to grasp. I am not an MD but have had a back (spine) problem and I find it hard to believe that a Chiropractor could have diagnosed my problem simply by feel. The 5 different ones I went to treated me for a muscle strain using the method you have mentioned. My problem was difficult even for a neurosurgeon to diagnose after an MRI and a milogram.

I guess we will agree to disagree.

Dr. Sheila Bowling And Dr. Sammy Ganesh are A-1 Chiropracters! They will not treat you without doing x-rays 1st!
