"The Skies Have Opened Up"

Featured Replies

A town in Texas had 17+ inches of rain in 6 hours yesterday- that's what it means.

Sounds like the sky was covered with clouds...hence the sky was closed...

So I've been told.

Although some refer to it as "pseudo-intellectual cheater."

I would say intellectual pseudo-cheater...

"Out of the blue."

This one comes from a sky related event.

Anyone?

I've always had a problem with this saying. Now, I know someone is going to come on and give a reasonable explanation of what this quote truly means...or BF will Google it. But, there's very little chance of anyone changing my mind that this is incorrect...

If the skies truly 'opened up', wouldn't the sky be blue? If 'open' means open than wouldn't all obstructions be removed? I mean, if the sky closes, certainly we'd see clouds...no?

I know, this is normally a TD random thought...:scared:

WHATEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p :p :p :p :p

Probably a meteor, or maybe like the "meteor" from Joe Dirt. "That's a space peanut..."
