A Round of Pre-Season Observations For Kentucky Football

Featured Replies

All I am saying is that there seems to be no concerns at at all from the UL camp about anything and I find that strange.

Not when we have all the players that are returning that we do... new coach or not, we know our players can play.

Because football threads are where UofL fans do all the things they criticize the UK fans for doing in basketball ones.

:thumb: Amen.

Everyone sure is quick to make excuses and down play the poor performance by UL in the spring game. Why are there absolutely no concerns? The fact that this is a new coaching staff and the loss of several key starters does that bother anyone?
And other people are sure quick to latch onto a practice as proof that the emperor has no clothes...

Louisville lost a total of 6 key everytime starters from last season's team (Foster, Quarterman, Kolby Smith, Okoye, Gay and Sharp.) They also lost Harris, Smart and Johnson, but those guys were at best splitting starts by the end of the season with Myles, Council and Preston Smith. Louisville also retained some important people from the old staff, like Brohm, Nord and Cassity (cracks me up how UK fans were SURE Cassity was going to replace Archer.)

I even hesitate to put Kolby Smith in the 'key, everytime starter' catergory considering how deep the RB depth chart is with Stripling, Bolen, Allen and Spencer.
