June 12, 200719 yr The only dirt on the field is the Pitcher's mound...The entire infield is just brown turf... There was a lot to like this weekend. The brown turf and the white shoes need to go though. However, I can live with the shoes if they'll help them win the CWS.

The one downfall I can think of to the turf is that the guys could get used to having perfect hops everytime off the turf, and playing on a natural field, bad hops could get them...
June 12, 200719 yr ^ Too be honest most baseball players are used to "dirt" hops...and not the rubberized "turf" hops....I would look for that to be an advantage in Omaha.
June 13, 200719 yr Were you there? I was there with 2 of my sons and had a great time. From the for what it's worth department: after the game we went to Tailgaters(open under new mgmt.) they had .35 wings, $1.00 Sam Adams longnecks, we had burgers & chicken sandwiches as well as some poppers and it was all great. The servers and service was great. Just thought Cards fans would like to know.
