Our school's team has attended the past couple years, and the coach is considering not returning. While it is a great experience for the kids (an expensive one), and we all know its "ONLY SUMMER BALL", Happy still has an obligation to at least get guys to officiate that will simply hustle and act interested. NOT ABOUT WINNING AND LOSING, but this year, there was an extreme amount of unnecessary flagrant activity....elbows, punches, etc., and the players and/or people officiating were too laid back or inexperienced to get control. There were even games where one official stood under each basket and didn't move unless it was to retrieve a ball going out of bounds. No one wants to get kids hurt because of inaction from those in charge. On a positive note, the overall staff is great, the organization is exceptional, and the food is edible (not the best, but better than some kids get)

In Happy's defense, it is probably hard to get officials to work from 8am-10pm. Maybe a reduction of games/teams is in order?

June Buchanan made a good showing but got beat out by a Montgomery Co. team that runs the ball well. Stepp brothers are awesome and MC has the 6'8 kid and the Stull kid who is one of the most underrated point guards I've seen. I heard he went somewhere down south on spring break and got some offers. Anybody know if this is true?

I haven't heard that one yet.
