They wrote what they saw and what they thought to be true, they were fallible humans - just as we are. To say that I can read scripture and know it as fact runs very close to self-idolatry.

Because with what you are saying here, there is no accurate way that you can know that what he said about meek inheriting the earth is accurate. Or that what he does not say about homosexuality is accurate. You are left with being able to question everything that is said in the Bible as accurate.

How do you know that this scientific fact is without a doubt accurate? Because remember over time things that science has held as fact has turned out to be inaccurate.

As far as Carbon dating, experiments have been done to artificially make a gem over several months using high pressured machines. Dating was then done which showed the gem to be millions of years old. So if this is true then another situation where high pressure was applied(ie Flood) could have happened to explain gem formation in a short period of time. I would like anyone who discounts Creation to just look at the facts and see for themselves the Truth and not just listen to scientific experts.

I am not seeing the contradiction. Exclusion of a couple of words does not mean contradiction in this case.

I didn't go to the link but did read the post and the bolded below is what confused me.....

On the bolded, I will go back to my question. If man descended from apes and the soul is what separates man from apes, when did man get the soul that separates them from apes? Did the orginal apes have the soul and then man evolved with it? AFTER man evolved from apes, did God place it in man? Why did some apes evolve into man and others did not?

One is spiritual, one is physical they don't contradict but they are distinctly different and if you choose not to see the difference . . .

That's very simple. Souls are not inherited, nor evolved. Each man's soul is created for him alone by God.

To take my question a step farther, if we evolved from a puddle of goo to an amphious creature that walked out of the water and evolved into an ape who evolved into man, than I guess every creature we see outside of our own windows had to come from some other puddle of goo struck by a lightning bolt evolve into some creature that walked out of the water and evolved into a creature that evolved into a giraffe.

 

Then another sequence that became an elephant.

 

Then another sequence that became a stinkbug.

 

Then another sequence that became a lightning bug.

 

Then another sequence that became a Great Dane.

 

Then another sequence that became a Chihuahua.

I agree and does not answer my question. When did the creature that evolved into man start getting their souls? Did the original apes that would not be classified as man have a soul? When did Adam get a soul? If there were apes producing their evolved creatures that became man, then you have to believe that Adam was born of a female creature and NOT created as we read in the Bible.
