As I said I dont know how the umps are in the rest of the state, but the umps in the 9th region do stuff like this all the time...

 

Also your right the lesser team usually does not make the play that would give them the victory, but why is that?

 

Umm . . . how about the "lesser team" is not as good as the team they are playing?

 

Honest to goodness, you just don't see the forest for the trees. These constant excuses you keep making on behalf on the "smaller/lesser/less respected" schools are hollow. It has nothing to do smaller schools not having good coaches, or good players, or that the umpires have all conspired against them, or they don't know how to deal with pressure, or that the sun only shines in the eyes of the smaller schools. The simple, undeniable fact is that smaller schools generally don't draw from the same talent base as the larger schools. A school of 1500 students is usually going to be stronger on a more consistent basis than a school of 500. Not always and not absolutely - but generally speaking. And that is in no way meant as a put down to any smaller school. In fact, it's a compliment to those that excel despite not drawing from the same size talent pool. But this mindset you have that the entire baseball community has conspired against the smaller schools is way off base.

 

And I'm guessing you've probably offended just about every 9th region umpire out there, since you've basically accused them of cheating on behalf of the "larger/more respected" schools. That is simply NOT happening out there, whether you accept it or not. What possible reason would these men have to risk their integrity (and some extra income) by favoring only large schools? While it would still be wrong, I'd actually think your argument would be more believable if you were claiming the umpires favored the smaller schools, as everybody roots for the underdog.

Well first of all wont you actually answer my post next time, because I know its a long post but I clearly explain what I mean by this, and their is nothing but just truth in what I said in that...

 

Also I never once said that refs intentionally throw a game, or go into a game thinking I am going to give this school all the calls. What I been saying is when its a close play they usually always end up going to the top team when they are playing a lesser team. You see it all the time in just about every sport. Its just usually when its a close play it seems like they just rule in favor of the better team because they assume since their players is better that, that player must have made the right play. In baseball when top school plays a lesser school they usually do end up getting the close calls that can go either way. In basketball its the same thing, you see a top school steal the ball away from a kid while dribbling even if they hit the players hand to get the steal but they dont call it, because they assume that it was just good defense. Yet if the lesser school does the same thing, they usually get called for it, because it must have been a foul if they were able to steal away from the better player.. Now in football I really dont see stuff like that happen as much, so I have nothing to say about that. But you and the rest of the people are kidding yourselves if you think I am wrong on this...I think some of you all are getting confused here in thinking that I am saying that top schools never get bad calls cause I sure they do. But usually those bad calls dont happen as much when they play a lesser school, it happens when they are playing a school of equal talent...Every school gets bad calls, when teams of equal level play the bad calls usually go both way and are not one sided, but when a lesser team play a top team the close calls USUALLY always seem to go in favor of the top school and I dont know why, its not right though...

We have several photos captured from video and still photos of missed calls that went against Ryle. So much for the "small school or underdogs getting screwed therory. It's not a perfect science but I doubt any adult umpire would intentionally want to influence the outcome of a game. If so, they would have to live with that.

 

And from what games are these?

Whew! Ryle 10 Ludlow 0 has gone out of control. What is the objective with all of this? Is there a goal with these railings of claims of unfairness that is attainable? Seriously, whether your arguments have merit or not, is there a goal? What is it? Convincing everyone you are right? That will not happen and is petty. Will their be a KHSAA investigation? Will their be a symposium for addressing this? Will there be special re-training for officials? I doubt it. What is the goal? Is it worth the effort and potential damage? And, is there sound data that can statistically indicate your claims, outside of examples for which there is disagreement? No, I do not know you either, but if I was an AD hiring & saw these types of posts in publicly accessible threads, I would be concerned with this type of approach being exemplified to players. It typifies the "nothing is my fault" & "I cannot overcome" & "I can get litigation" & "I can complain complain complain" attitude of today. I hate to see self-destruction. Thinking these things is one thing, talking to close confidants another, operating under these types of attitudes is another, & expressing them incessantly yet another. I would suggest sticking with the first two of the last sentence. Passion is an attribute, but if not directed in the proper direction can lead to quicker failure. Be happy & move forward & overcome these challenges whether they are real or just percieved or somewhere in between. Overcoming major challenges is the most rewarding! If things are easy, they are no fun. enough.
