POTC3: At World's End (Spoiler Alert!!)

I was very pleased with the movie! I thought the first Pirates movie was awesome but part 2 let me down alot. Hopefully the series of movies will continue on! :thumb:

Dozed off 3 times during the movie. Lots of parts that were not needed. The whole white crab scene could have been done a lot shorter. Ending was action packed but that was it.

True, but the climax of the movie does not need to be an hour long. They dragged out he whirlpool scene (which I thought to be rather inane to begin with).

Right because movies that take an interesting concept and story and proceed to drive it into the ground while trying to evoke the things that made the original good deserve to be continued until the public is absolutely sick of them.

I didn't like the 1st, went and watched the 2nd in theaters but fell asleep through every part but the part where they are fighting on the wheel...Not even bothering with the third.

The curse of the third part. Spidey 3, Shrek 3 and now Pirates 3. All letdowns, even if Pirates is the best of them, isn't saying much.

The only problem I can recall with part 1 is that it was 20 minutes too long. I don't recall having any problems with 2 and that brings me to part 3.

This movie is an HOUR, that's right an HOUR too long. Overblown, overdrawn, overdramatic, etc, etc. I understand you want to give each character "closure" but my goodness. Thankfully these actors looked like they cared enough, unlike Spiderman 3.

This won't be the last one, we will have a Jack Sparrow standalone movie soon enough. He will likely be the only returning character, but he would be the only one I would want to see again anyway. Unreleated to the movie, but I can pass it along, the writers of these 3 Pirates movies and rumored to be doing a western movie, not just any old western, there is a rumor they are going to write a series of Lone Ranger movies.

Last but not least, the "extra footage" at the end is a joke and not worth sitting through 27 hours of credits.

Thankfully I can look forward to the Reds game tonight cheering me up.

Exactly what I was thinking as I left the theater.

Dang people, I actually liked it. If you know the movie is long don't go if your a person who falls asleep.

Didnt like 3 as much as the first two. It did not contain the cynical humor the others had. Plus, I believe more people died in the first five minutes of this one than the other two combined.

I don't mind a movie being long, but I just felt that it wasn't necessary all the extra stuff that was put in. I understand they didn't want a 80 minute movie, but way too much padding and too many set pieces that had nothing to do with anything.

Heck, I enjoyed a darn near 3 hour "directors" cut of Alien 3. I will sit through just about anything once.

I liked it, for what it was. They tried to squeeze WAAAY to much into the 2nd and 3rd one. The 1st one was long too, though. They each had those annoying parts that they could have done without. Orlando Bloom is a terrible actor. Keira Knightley is beautiful but her character does too much in all three of them. No one buys those cheesy lines like "Try wearing a corset!" or the whole getting married on the ship thing. All three of them are very similar and follow nearly the same template. What makes the first one stand out is that I don't think they realized what a hit Johnny Depp was going to make Captain Jack, whereas the last two they knew what a hit he was and tried to build the movie around it.
