Lovemyball240 Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 I am interested in hearing everyone's opinions on who are the top 25 players out there, regardless of class, that are the best in the state. Here are my votes in no order other than the top 3: Darius Miller Bud Mackey Scotty Hopson Shelvin Mack Arrez Henderson Aaron Morris Nathan Novosel Landon Sloan Matt ? (Ashland) Dakota Euton Sparks (Tates Creek) Cameron Hundley Tyler Portwood Jordan Lee Clark Stepp Jaron Jones Jenkins (Manuel) Victor Moses Aaron Boyd Smart (Catholic) Elliot County Twins Jordan Stephens Richie Phares Let's see who everyone thinks may be their picks to be included in the list come the end of summer and preseason next year. Let the games begin!

Let the games begin! 5 Scott County kids is impressive. Matt Thomas is the Ashland player that you are looking for. I would put Nic Simpson of Highlands rounding out the top 25 over Stephens or Phares, but other than that it looks good.:thumb:
thewaterboy Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Dont know about Portwood either, other than the game @ Huntington, did he even score in double digits last season? Has he been playing well this summer?
Lovemyball240 Posted May 21, 2007 Author Posted May 21, 2007 Dont know about Portwood either, other than the game @ Huntington, did he even score in double digits last season? Has he been playing well this summer? You may be right waterboy he didn't play that well in the season. I guess I based my decision on what I have seen him be able to do not necessarily the output. He may be a scratch but I would keep Stephens and Phares on the list just because of their summer play...they have both stepped up and shown their abilities in these summer league games. Both looked agile and quick for their size, not to mention the way they have finished.
$$East-Bank$$ Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 This is probabily My top 10(No paticular order wit an exception of the top 4) Darius Miller Bud Mackey Arrez Henderson Scotty Hopson Shelvin Mack Aaron Morris Landon Slone Dakota Euton Victor Moses Aaron Boyd Sleeper:Jordan Lee
thewaterboy Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 I agree about Lee being a sleeper its all a matter of if he wants it bad enough or not. Another sleeper could be the Adams kid from Scott County that played on Team Kentucky, he had a pretty solid tournament!

I don't remember seeing him at the AAU State.
thewaterboy Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Didn't see him at the KBA. I was thinking he may have possibly been at a track meet but regionals do not start until this week. By the way, he is jumping 6'2 which may win the state!
gymrat94 Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 It is amazing that someone who probably goes to a couple of tournaments starts a thread of top 25 players in any class. There is only one kid from L'ville on your list and he is a junior to be.? Kids ranked in the top 20 from an established site aren't even mentioned and they make all-region teams consistantly not mentioned. Are you really evaluating talent or just attending a tournament and occasionally skimming through the paper?

That's the beauty of sites like this, EVERYONE can express their opinion! You may agree with them at times and other times you don't, doesn't mean anyone is right or wrong.
dogman Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Josh Crawford from Corbin has got to be in the top 25. He would be in my top fifteen.
bballfan44 Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Victor Moses from Henry Clay is a sleeper. Also, I like Nathan Novosel from Catholic in the top 10. Jordan Lee is running track right now so I hear. He will be back to bball after that concludes.
train3399 Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Johnathan Hood Madisonville North Hopkins Darnell Moore Madisonville North Hopkins These two are not well known...YET!
budman0209 Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Who is Jordan Lee playing with this summer? I don't remember seeing him at the AAU State. He would look good in a Shining Star Sports Brand Jordan Uniform!!
