They have to get past Deming and then their nemesis the last 2 seasons. I honestly believe this is their best chance as any. Seniors Owen and Anderson will be two of the best players in the Class A and could help lead Coach Hinson to the Promise Land.

I was thinking the same thing. As Owens and Anderson go, so will the Patties. I know that most everyone else graduated key players - Augusta, Bracken and Deming (and obviously Brossart and Silver Grove) most definitely.

That could well be true; I didn't really follow BB's JV squad last year. They tended to play about 7 guys on varsity last year. As is always the case, summer development will be critical for a team that will essentially have 5 new starters.

The 10th Region All "A" Tournament will be a horse race this season.

 

Brossart has had the upper hand for the past five years and been the strong favorite in all five of those events.

 

With the graduation of eight seniors who saw 100% of the serious varsity playing time, the Mustangs will be fair game this year as we introduce an entirely new lineup.

 

Coach Code and his staff didn't graduate however, and our present Juniors (2), Sophs, and Freshmen will be another year older and wiser, with a half-season of varsity experience under their belts come "A" tournament time.

 

While it might be a more open tournament this year, and St. Pat's even possibly considered the favorite, the Mustangs will be major contenders again this year.

I'm going to go on record as saying that Calvary Christian will come out of the lower bracket.

 

They were a very competitive young team last year and will only improve in '07-'08.

That's why I picked them in the finals against Augusta.

Brossart,Deming,Augusta, St.Pat and Calvary should all be mirror images of each other next season, with the Saints having the most experienced team. Will that translate to the Saints winning the A? Should,but won't,until they get the Robin Kelsch monkey off their back.
