Underrated/Underappreciated Albums

Featured Replies

I didn't bother mentioning this one...it's generally regarded as a masterpiece by fans of Tool and the genre, so I wasn't sure it qualified as underrated. On the flipside, it's not widely recognized outside of that realm, so maybe it is.

Thats the way I feel about it. I feel like if this album was more widely listen to it would be The Dark Side of The Moon of the 90s.:creepy:

I have a C.O.C discography, spent a lot of my time jamming to this band. Well, I still don't like their early thrash albums.

My two Favorite albums are Deliverance and WiseBlood! They Should be Pt. 1 and pt. 2

I got to see them once in Huntington. It was a good show.

Great, great album. Wish I still had my copy.

Toxicity and Evil Empire are both pretty good albums. Under appreciated? Yes, but not the best album by either band though.

No doubt...my description of Tool is this...they threw Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Black Sabbath in a blender and Tool came out. I'm not implying they are better than those bands (although I definitely prefer them over Sabbath and Pink Floyd), but they sound kinda like a mix of those.

They have that sort of trippy aspect of Pink Floyd, the heaviness of Sabbath and Zeppelin, the kind of mystical/intelligent/abstract lyrics of some Zeppelin and Floyd stuff, and they have that knack for long, epic songs that build up as they progress that those bands were so good at. I love Tool...next to Pearl Jam, they're probably my favorite band.

Blind Faith (Eric Clapton,Steve Winwood,Ginger Baker and Rick Grech)..
