The May (or May Not) Late-Nighters Thread

Featured Replies

I didnt want to post this in the college thread because of the touble it would bring but I have a question. Is everyone happy with the hire ? Mainly the people who thought firing Tubby would set the prgram back ten years. Can anyone say that they would still rather have Tubby over Bill G ?

I was very neutral on Tubby. Things could have been better, things could have been worse. I'm very happy with the new hire up to this point. I'm excited about basketball again.

I am happy with Coach G. I think he is going to be a great fit for the program. I think he will be better than Tubby was (in his last few years) and I even think he might be a better fit for us than Billy D.

Complaining on message boards with adult beverage in hand is going to be missed... :D

Never fear, there will be some people that still won't be happy because UK didn't win the title and somehow the refs managed to cheat them out of a win. Your talking about UK fans remember:sssh:

Tubby was old school and very clean. He didn't deal with the often dreaded AAU coaches and doing what it takes to land a 4 star player (much less a 5 star) in the changing recruiting world. Truth be told the crack down on text messaging and Prep schools would have swung things back in his direction. BCG and Tubby are polar opposites in recruiting but their coaching is a lot of the same. We'll see how it goes...

Yes I do...

Yes I do...

How did you get into that ? Is it your primary job or just something you do for fun ? Just curious if you don't mind me asking.

Yes I do...

Where and when can we listen to you...or can you say that in a thread?

Check the advertisment page there is a whole thread about it.

What do you have in store for tomorrow GT?

I'm going to talk a lot about the new Prep School rules starting next year. It changes a LOT...
