Paper on Monday said that Ryle had 3 loses. Who are they?

The three losses are Tates Creek, Cov Cath, and Highlands.

When it all comes down too it, it is a win in the Birds column and a LOSS in the Raiders column. It doesn't matter what you use for excuses the Birds still pulled out the upset. Great job Birds!

Everyone knows this is the time of year for upsets, teams playing a lot of games and using a lot of pitching. Cov Cath is upset by Campbell and they claim it's because they are tired and used a pitcher that hasn't pitched much this year, Boone is upset by Dixie with their # 2 pitcher but he was tired too and yes, Highlands upset Ryle because we CHOSE to start a guy who has never had a varsity start and follow him up with two more juniors. It eventually gets back to normal, always has, always will. Ryle, Cov Cath and Boone will get back on the winning track and Highlands will win some games as well when they pitch Allen.

This is the kind of stuff that will make a certain Fri evening more fun:flame:

Like August 24th:fight:

No matter who won and who lost and the reason for all of it it was a Great Sunday and a fun ball game I enjoyed watching it, seemed like the old days coaches getting on the Ump nerves and a lot of hitting. Hard to take a little soonze in the warm sun with all that bat on ball noise. I think everyone had fun I did

Yes, Allen is our #1 pitcher, but Highlands hasn't won all 13 games with just him on the mound.

Doubt if any of their 8 loses came with him on the mound.

Perhaps the fact that Highlands has three pitchers that have combined for 110 strikeouts has something to do with their success. All three pitchers are #1, #5 and #9 in the region in strikeouts. Ryle has a very good team. Your obsession with defending their loss against Highlands in indicative of someone who is very concerned about his team. Rest easy my friend Ryle is a good team.

Nope, just know Allen is your ace and after that the Birds have average pitching.

I am a Raider fan even I am going to puke. They beat us. Next time let's hope we score more runs than them...But lets just accept that the team that played the best won on that day. Enough already.

I'll grab you a barf bag...this is a discussion board, if you don't like it change the chanel. What's wrong with average pitching? Ryle has average pitching, Cov Cath has average pitching, Boone and Holy Cross have average pitching.

There are no studs in Northern Kentucky this year, no one is going to over power anyone, some kids are just better at hitting spots and mixing up pitches. I have seen no one throw consistently in the upper 80's.

I think that they might want to slow down with Allen. He has thrown way more innings than anyone else in NKY. Seems like everytime I look in the paper I see he has thrown again. That is why he is #1 in k"s. He is a great kid and has a baseball future in college. I would hate to see him hurt his arm.

You didn't get to see Nathan Mutsch when you played Brossart, never mind he doesn't throw in the upper 80's its lower 90's.
