We have seen him before, throws hard but had some control issues. Xavier must have liked what they saw.

I am a Raider fan even I am going to puke. They beat us. Next time let's hope we score more runs than them...But lets just accept that the team that played the best won on that day. Enough already.

Actually, if you understand my original point, it would be the like playing Highlands on the Grid Iron without Scotty and Vince. The young guys did a good job but they just didn't have the experience that one of the four starters in the rotation have. Now they have gained some and those associated with the baseball program are fine with that.

Sorry, but Ryle in baseball doesn't equate Highlands in football. Not yet anyway. After 16 then we can compare. Maybe one day.

I was talking to Pat Allen's dad after the game and he pointed out that they did lose some games they should have won, but the scores were always close and they were in every ballgame.

 

I don't know how they were close to every game when they lost to Ludlow 11-1, when they had a sophomore starting on the mound. But I will admit they are a heck of a baseball team. They know how to bring out the bats.

I'll grab you a barf bag...this is a discussion board, if you don't like it change the chanel. What's wrong with average pitching? Ryle has average pitching, Cov Cath has average pitching, Boone and Holy Cross have average pitching.

There are no studs in Northern Kentucky this year, no one is going to over power anyone, some kids are just better at hitting spots and mixing up pitches. I have seen no one throw consistently in the upper 80's.

 

I'm with GloveMan. Supposedly Ryle has not taken a true loss in the past two years, there is always an excuse. Ryle has a very nice team this year in a down year in the Ninth region. They are not close to the teams from Beechwood, Cov Cath and Boone that have come out of the Ninth the last five years.
