Well, nothing in that story indicates what the race of the victims and perpetrators is, so it's kind of hard to say.

 

There's an awful lot of wanna-be white gangstas out there who assign themselves hip-hop names. Kind of like B-Rad on "Malibu's Most Wanted."

Right, but I think some of our posters were operating under the assumption the victims were white and the accused were black, perhaps based on their hip-hop sounding names.

IMO, none. But they always get involved in discrimination cases. You know it's coming, so it shouldn't be a surprise.

Exactly. I am fan of a good debate but dont drag assumption into a debate. It makes for heated debates.

 

This is terrible to hear. One violent crime is bad enough but Robbery and Rape and Murder! That is three of the FBI's most violent crimes on a person.

Now that questions of my prejudging based solely on names is gone can you honestly dispute that if the races had been reversed that Jackson and Sharpton or their ilk would have been very boisterous in their protests?

 

Also if someone, say Sean Hannity, condemned these criminals prior to trial (just as Shaprton and Jackson did to the Duke players) do you really believe that he wouldn't be accused of bigotry and the subject of massive protests by Jackson and Sharpton?

 

Finally, do you really believe that a double standard does not exist?
