I played in a softball tournament. It sounded like a good idea last week when it was 70 degrees out. It was painfully cold.

Yep I am in a league that starts new week I think. Its a friday league at the Newport Elks.

I love it. I started playing the year after I graduated from high school.

 

I play on a team here but we try to travel to a tournament every other weekend or so. We play in cincinnati quite a bit. Played in nationals there last year.

Honestly man I don't remember if more of a fun type league. This is my second year playin now I am sure I will get into it a little more this year. What is a good type to use?

When you get serious about it you can never go wrong with a Miken. Be ready to shell out a little dough for them though. They have bats that cost as much as 450 dollars, we have a couple of them.

 

For a first time bat, I'd go with a Miken Freak. When I bought mine it was 400 dollars but I see them for sale now every where on the internet for around 200. Its a great bat. I busted mine last year but I used it for about 4 years.

 

The first time you swing a nice bat like a Miken you'll realize why they are so expensive.
