Track the Cubs

Featured Replies

Some say Murton and 2 or 3 pitchers, some say Jones and 2 or 3 pitchers. Reds want Sean Gallagher in any deal. One guy thinks the Reds would want Pie, Gallagher and 2 more "A" and "AA" players.

I think you either do that, or throw Sean Marshall or Rich Hill in for Gallagher.

Cubs wont make any moves, they are fine and they wont mortgage there future for the likes of Dunn. No way do I give up Hill, Marshall or Pie and no way they move Soriano back to Center. Things are going too good to seem them tinker much...

They have already spent enough money Rocket. No way the Reds would trade Dunn to the cubbies anyways unless it's just an unreal deal.

It's only a 2 month rental. They would do it for fair market value...

Yea, if the Cubs are getting a good deal they may entertain it, but they arent going to open up the cubbard and say "hey who do you want"

I'm saying the Reds are going to want more just because it's the same division. At least I would.

If it's only 2 months it means nothing in that regard unless you are a Cubs fan. 2 way street...

I have been as hard on Dunn as anyone else, I can tell you that if he joined the Cubs I wouldn't suddenly embrace his flaws. I would still dislike A LOT of what he brings to the table.

I know a lot of people can forgive flaws when that player joins your team, but Dunn is one case where I wouldn't want the Cubs to touch him with that ten foot pole. The Cubs have gotten back into the race because of pitching and clutch hitting. The Cubs haven't hit a lot of home runs this year and they are doing JUST fine.

Soriano goes out of the game with what looks like a quad injury. Bad bad timing for the cubs.
