If he has a bad series vs. the Red Sox this weekend he will be the "whipping post" again.
April 21, 200719 yr He has to do it in the post season before I think he truly gets any respect from the fans. Of course he could very well be gone after this year, so it doesn't really matter. Marty had Eric Davis in the booth and Eric is promoting his new dvd "Hitting from the Heart" Talking about hitting fundamentals, Eric's battle with cancer and everything that went on during and after his career. If he could have stayed healthy, my goodness the numbers he could have put up. He WOULD have been the first 40/40 if not for injury, I believe Canseco and Bonds went on to do that. I think only 3 people in the history of baseball have ever had 40/40 seasons.
