May 29, 200719 yr Author I'm feeling a "Chuck" Norris Hopper nickname after this one. Wiped out his CF and still made sure the out was recorded. As cshs would say. Nice...
May 29, 200719 yr So while roaming the net, I found this regarding a head/neck contusion. I hope to goodness Freel isn't gone for months. Contusions occur when a direct blow or repeated blows from a blunt object strike part of your body, crushing underlying muscle fibers and connective tissue without breaking the skin. You can also get a contusion by falling or jamming part of your body against a hard surface. Most contusions are minor and heal quickly without taking you out of the game. But severe contusions can cause deep tissue damage and lead to complications and/or keep you out of sports for months. I know we have several athletes here on the board, maybe someone can tell us any experiences they had with this type of problem.
May 29, 200719 yr He's dead on that this is a bad division top to bottom. So while things are bleak, it's still far from over... Is it a bad division? Yes. Have the Reds showed anything at all this season to make me think they have a chance? No.
May 29, 200719 yr CTR sounds positive that Hopper did put the ball back in Freel's glove... Who is CTR?
May 29, 200719 yr He'll take Wise's locker... Well I figured but isn't he due to come off the DL tomorrow? Why bother bringing the kid up.
May 29, 200719 yr You think Hobbs is better than Wise?!?! lol Would be nice if the Reds made some moves that will last longer than 2-3 days, but that seems to be the mentality of the front office right now.

May 29, 200719 yr I know this move they had to make because of the injury by Freel. I'm talking about the moves with sending relievers down only to bring up other players who won't be up here very long, things of that nature. There just doesn't seem to be ANY direction long term by the front office.
