March 24, 200719 yr :thumb: Let's hope not...Travis Ford or John Pelphrey would be at UK before Dawkins...if the coaching search goes that far. I don't think it will. I think it's going to be Donovan, but I'm going on the assumption that he will be Barnhardt's first choice. Billy D is not going anywhere he has a great thing going for him at Florida. Think about it he is at a place where he has no real pressure. He could stay another 20 years if he wanted to.
March 24, 200719 yr Donavon does have pressure now. He brought the Florida program up to be national contenders. The Fla. faithful will expect him to do it year after year.

March 24, 200719 yr Only UK fans expect that. If Donavon is being paid a huge salary, he is expected to win. It is not only at Ky. It is any major college. No one pays a coach to look good in a suit. They pay them to win, and that brings pressure regardless where you are at.

March 24, 200719 yr Loved to watch Johnny Dawkins as a player, but there has to be a reason he hasn't landed a HC job. If Dawkins is in the mix of candidates, his running mate, Tommy Amaker, should be as well.
March 24, 200719 yr At UK though, Tubby averaged 26 wins per season and that was not enough. 26 wins would be enough if they came early in the season and KY was in the final 4 every year. I see your point. Ky fans are spoiled when it comes to basketball.
