March 23, 200719 yr I didn't really want to start a new thread, so please don't berate me for it, but I'm just curious as to what people think is a realistic time frame for a new coach to get UK back to the level that is expected.
March 23, 200719 yr I think it's hard to judge at the moment. You'd have to wait and see who transfers if any, who leaves for the league if any, what recruits come or go and if the new coach brings anyone with him. But it's a very good question.
March 23, 200719 yr IE....if Cal was hired and brought in Rose that would be different than if they hired say Few and he dind't bring anyone and Morris left, Meeks transfered and Crawford went over seas, it could take some time.

Meeks won't transfer and why would Crawford forgo his senior year to play overseas when his goal is the NBA.
March 23, 200719 yr I see anywhere from 2-4 years being a realistic time table. Roy Williams took an NIT team and made them National Champs in 2 years. Whoever comes in will have at least as much as Roy did to work with.

I never said they would but why did Ozibuke leave and go pro and Morris leave and go pro? The bottom line is they are young men and young men more often than not make decisions that seem to puzzle others. So until they say yes or no to leaving the option is open and shouldn't be overlooked. I'm sure your opinion means about as much as mine to them at this point.
March 23, 200719 yr Author Already a thread on when people think they will pick the next coach Which is why this thread is about how long it will take the next coach to get UK back to the level that is expected...:thumb:...not who it will be.

He came in with the cupboard stocked full. He's never one a title with players he recruited either.....

Assuming the current freshmen stay and everyone else returns as well...the exceptiong being Morris...I say he's likely to leave, but I think he would have anyway.
