March 23, 200719 yr Does anyone know how you can get Tubby's address or email adress or something. I know I just would actually like to send him something thanking him for all the memories and hard work he did while here... A few years ago, Street and Smith had a pre season article on all the college basketball teams and said "Tubby's Cats won't purr so loud this season". They had just had their 26 game winning streak and the article said a sweet 16 finish and 20 game victory season would be an accomplishment. We almost went to the final four and won, I think, 28 games. I kept that article all season and mailed it to the UK basketball office at UK at the end of the Michigan St. game and Tubby sent me back a standard letter of thanks plus a handwritten thank you. What a nice man. Best of luck Tubby. I will never forget the Duke game 9 years ago today when you jumped up after the final miss and we were in the final four.

Sad thing is, he's had to deal with alot of people who think they know the game, but really don't. Just fans who have to put blame on every Coach, of every Team, they probably root for. People who don't want to take time to look at a game, and maybe give the other Teams/Coaches credit. No, a small % of UK fans would rather just blame the Coach, regardless of who he is. With that small % I wonder how many actually liked Tubby at all, since he got here, my guess would be, not many. Oh, except maybe that day in 98 when he brought them from 17 down against dUKe, with 9 minutes left and put his Team into the final 4. But then again those were RP players right? It sure in the hell wasn't RP Coaching in that game. Thanks Tubby for all you've done with the Team, the community, the State. I will be rooting for ya.
