Danville could be a powerhouse program in their region, given the athletes that are always walking the halls there. There are even more oppos now that the region is extremely soft.

The 12th? Yes, it is. It dropped dramatically in overall quality when the Somerset-area schools succeeded in getting North and South Laurel shipped out. The 12th has been on par with the 14th/15th/16th as far as general weakness ever since.

That's not saying much -- the 5th was pretty weak this year also.

I have to disagree. I can't call the 12th a strong region, but (a) this was a good year, and (b) in part because of that I consider it stronger than the other three mentioned. There was no single powerhouse, but there were several good, solid teams at the top of the region.

Back on topic, I think the fact that so many larger schools have strong or improving programs makes it harder for Danville to be a "powerhouse." Harder, but not impossible. It hasn't been that long ago that the Ads were competing for regional titles. (They were in the finals in 2002.)

Yes he was, but from what I have heard he will not be the Admirals head coach.

Being at Scott Co., I'm pretty sure he has paid homage to the AD. And I say this assuming your comment refers to the fact that the DHS AD is quite a successful football coach!! However, I think everyone plays nice together at Danville. I think Danville would be lucky to get a kid like Hundley to work on the program. It's hard at Danville when your players are also playing football- and the football season at Danville tends to go pretty late!!! Not to mention the size of the school . . .
