I believe the voting took place prior to the regional tournament. At that time, I think most believed that Russell would win and advance to Diddle Arena. That would be a plus for Kidwell. I also thought that Bradley did a fine job with his young Ashland girls.

 

Therefore, by "under the circumstances", I thought that, if I am correct about the time of the voting, Kidwell and Bradley were, in my mind, the obvious choices.

 

I completely forgot about Trimble who, indeed, did a fine job in leading Raceland to its first Class A Regional Championship.

As I asked last year in a thread much like this one, why doesn't RH pay their dues to this organization? Is there a reason? If not, if they wish to be considered, simply pay your dues and you'll be in the running next year. Queen certainly would have been at the top, if not #1, had the proper paperwork been filed.

Because Rose Hill has two pretty good players the vote may have been split between Laura and Emily. Emily had a better year than Laura, but some may remember how well Laura played at the State tournament last year. Any of the three would be worthy. Did anyone check with the Rose Hill administration to see if they actually voted. Congrats to Coach Trimble and Jessica.
