March 9, 200719 yr I think a 5 is the best possible seed that UK can get. A 4 would be a real stretch. I remember the committee really overseeded Maryland in 2004 when they went on a run and won the ACC tourney. They gave Maryland a 4, when going into the ACC tourney they were a bubble team. Maryland was 19-11 going into the dance and squeaked by UTEP and lost to Syracuse in the second round. Not sure if you will ever see a four seed again with fewer than 20 wins and 11 losses.
