I'm going on record to say, they will NOT get fatigued. I've seen their pratices and they go nonstop for 2 1/2 to 3 hours everyday. Way to Buddy and the Cats. Take care of East first. Just for the fun of it compare this score to the Russell - Lewis score. Does it say anything about Ashland @ this time or even more about Russell at this time without Vanhoose??

I do not think Ashland will win the region. They do not have alot of depth and other teams in the region can match their inside strength. They had a big advantage inside against Lewis Co.. Bonner and McDavid had their way with Lewis Co. The game broke open in the 3rd quarter. Some were questioning why Coach Biggs left his starters in for so long in the 4th quarter with the game in hand. Bad Karma.

 

Buddy's style of coaching, and it is not to run up the score. Coach Biggs is not that type of coach to do that. It worked for Pendleton Co.

Since everybody on here seems to know everything here goes, If you were coaching and the opposing team still had their starters in and was pressing would you take your starters out in the regional tourney? AS Old Soda said earlier. You take your starters out and concede Biggs always takes his out in return. Most coach's do the same thing.

While I don't pretent to know everything, I will say this: why should Hampton be the first to replace his starters in a 30 point game? Are you saying that if Joe never took his starters out that Biggs wouldn't either? I like Buddy, a fine coach, but I agree with Jay. What would Ashland fans say if Drew McDavid rolled an ankle going for a meaningless rebound with 2 minutes left and his team up 30?

 

Again, not dogging any coach, I just think don't see the logic in making the other team "concede" as you put it. Why not send out another message; "hey, we were the better team tonight, I am going to rest my starters for the remainder of the game because we might have 2 more to play and let my subs get some valueable playing time, here is your chance to do the same." I really doubt that Lewis Co's starters could erase that big of a margin in 2 minutes against Ashland's subs.

It doesn't really say that much. Lewis Co is dangerous when they hit the 3 pt shot. Both Russell and Ashland took advantage of the inside against Lewis Co.. Lewis Co. was hitting the 3 playing on their home floor in the district tournament. Also Russell will pull back and play conservative with the lead. Ashland chose to run it up. Two different philosophies.

I agree they couldn't erase that lead so why not give your other players some regional experience as well and take out your starters when they are down thirty?
