Still don't care. Sorry, I know I should but I don't.

Reading the story I guess it is different lying to the FBI and lying to us as voters like 99% of the politicians normally do.

"I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms Lewinsky."

Not exactly surprised, but I thought it could have gone either way. I doubt we've heard the last of it though.

The one I remember is when they began arguing over a pronoun. I think it was "it."

18 USC 1001:

(a) Except as otherwise provided in this section, whoever, in any matter within the jurisdiction of the executive, legislative, or judicial branch of the Government of the United States, knowingly and willfully—

(1) falsifies, conceals, or covers up by any trick, scheme, or device a material fact;

(2) makes any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation; or

(3) makes or uses any false writing or document knowing the same to contain any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or entry;

shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 5 years or, if the offense involves international or domestic terrorism (as defined in section 2331), imprisoned not more than 8 years, or both.

(b) Subsection (a) does not apply to a party to a judicial proceeding, or that party’s counsel, for statements, representations, writings or documents submitted by such party or counsel to a judge or magistrate in that proceeding.

© With respect to any matter within the jurisdiction of the legislative branch, subsection (a) shall apply only to—

(1) administrative matters, including a claim for payment, a matter related to the procurement of property or services, personnel or employment practices, or support services, or a document required by law, rule, or regulation to be submitted to the Congress or any office or officer within the legislative branch; or

(2) any investigation or review, conducted pursuant to the authority of any committee, subcommittee, commission or office of the Congress, consistent with applicable rules of the House or Senate.

There is no law against a politician lying to voters. For that to be illegal, the politicians would have to pass a law that........nah, won't happen!:D

A smart man once said, "Kill all the lawyers".

The one I remember is when they began arguing over a pronoun. I think it was "it."

I believe it was actually "it depends on what the meaning of is is". It was a part of President Clinton's actual testimony.

I think you are right. Is was the word and not it.

Cracked me up that the POTUS was hiding behind the definition of is.

Small word, with a big meaning.

I wasn't alive yet but from what has been told to me and the research I've done--

The initial information and findings about what happend with Watergate started off slowly, with a few convictions of White House aides that drew little fanfare and not may people really cared about.

Not saying this will turn into a Watergate for the administration, just trying to point out similarities.

That's been said about every scandal for every administration since then. Usually it's just wishful thinking by the opposition. The Dems tried to take down Ford, Reagan, Bush Sr and GW while the Republicans tried to take down Carter and Clinton.

Let's blame Fritzgerald, no let's blame the judge, no let's blame the jury, no let's blame Joe Wilson....I am sure they are all wrong and Libby is right.
