While beating a team (any team) three times in one season is never an easy task Corbin will be ready for battle. Corbin wins and moves on.:ylsuper:

Pineville is a really hot team right now. They picked the perfect time to start clicking. People are over looking them in this game because Corbin has beaten them twice fairly easily. Those people aren't taking into consideration that Pineville wasn't playing to their best ability during those two points of the season. It wasn't until after the second Corbin game that JD Strange had his boys playing to potential. Over 90% of the posts on here have said that Corbin will win! That is the safe answer to go with, but pineville will give them a run for their money. Either way the game goes, both teams are young and have a lot of potential to shake up the region tournament next year. Good Luck to both teams.

 

GO PINEVILLE MOUNTAIN LIONS!

J.D Strange is an outstanding coach and he has his Lions roaring at just the right time. They could very well pounce on the Hounds and come away with a victory. If the Lions hit Corbin hard in the mouth early like South did, I don't know if these young pups will hit back. Against South these scared dogs tucked their tails between their red behinds and scampered off. Are the Hounds gonna played scared again or are they gonna show that they really do have some bite?

I really don't think Corbin will beat Pineville in the teens. In the previous meetings Pineville has had trouble defending Corbin and they gave up too many wide open shots. But these are things that can be corrected and I got a feeling they will be. Look for Pineville to try to take control of the tempo early to stop the Hounds from jumping out to big leads like they did in their previous meetings. Getting off to a good start is going to be key for both teams because of their youth. I think this is going to be one of the better games at Corbin this week.

Later they went man to man and made some comebacks against Corbin. Do you think they press full court this time around? Maybe start man to man like many of their late season wins or will they box and 1 like they did against Lynn Camp this season? Anyway you look at it they leave something open. Maybe Coach Strange will fly to Chapel Hill tonight and meet with Dean Smith and Roy Williams to perfect the four corners. It should be an interesting game.

I would guess they will play man. Especially if 42 is in. Corbin is to good to box and 1. And I'm not saying this just because I'm a Pineville fan, but I do think this will be a good game.

I think the Lions are well coached and if any loose ends are not tied up then Coach Strange will find the weakness and go to work on it from there. I hope both teams play as well as they can play.
