UK Fans, be thankful, we could have Rick Barnes.

If anyone watched the game last night between Texas and Texas A&M you'll know what I am talking about. Durant had 14 pts at half, and Texas built a 10 pt lead going about 3 minutes into the second half. Then two things happened. A) Law & A&M got real hot and B)A&M came out in a triangle and 2. Apparently Barnes has never seen a triangle and 2 b/c he was lost. If I have the best player in the country, who is 6'9" with good handles and a great shot, I find a way to get him the ball. However, Texas goes six straight possessions without running their offense through Durant. He only touched the ball off of a couple of rebounds and recovering a blocked shot. Meanwhile, A&M went on a 22-7 run and took the lead. In my opinion, Texas, as young as they are, is a Top 5 team. I think that Barnes cost them a 10 pt win last night, though they did win in 2OT. Never been happier to have Tubby. He couldn't recruit Durant like Barnes, but he'd make sure that he got touches.

I'e watched Texas and Durant many times this year and many times Durant has went 5 game minutes or more without touching the ball.

That amazes me, and I agree with you. What's Rick Barnes thinking?

^Wait a minute, I didn't mean to imply that I am happy with Tubby either.:D

I think Durant can do what Anthony did for Syacuse a few years ago.

Is that why Morris and Crawford go plays and plays without touches? It must be the rest of our stellar offensive weapons.

I don't understand. Barnes did recruit and sign maybe the best player in the country, as opposed to Tubby...

Barnes did defeat a top ten team, as opposed to Tubby....

What am I missing?

That's exactly why I said I'm not praising Tubby in my critique of Barnes.

I'd rather have the caliber of players Barnes has and be an average coach, than have the players Tubby has and be a so-called genious of a coach.

Did you watch the game? I had a "wager" on Texas and it absolutely was killing me that the best player wasn't getting touches. Especially since the other teams best player was getting almost every touch. If he didn't shoot it at least the offense went through him.

I would much rather have RICK BARNES here then Tubby. He went out and got freshmen that can play, not ones who avg 3 pts and 2 boards combined with the exception of meeks

Yeah since they are close to Durant.

Durant is to Morris/Crawford as Morris/Crawford is to Sheray Thomas.

Barnes was in the Final Four just a couple of seasons ago with TJ Ford if I recall. Barnes may not be a better coach but he recruits better....

Yeah, this is the same mastermind that drew up those two gem plays at the end of the Vanderbilt game. Give me Barnes and Durant in trade for a few busted plays.l

Say what you want about Rick Barnes (great recruiter, average coach IMO) but Tubby's offensive mindset (and playbook) leaves plenty to be desired.

I swear, you have done nothing but insult each and everyone associated with the UK program for the past 2 weeks. Do you really have nothing better to do?
