Maybe the UK administration can get a sample of Adolph Rupps DNA and clone him. Then everyone will be happy.

Rupp didn't go voluntarily into retirement.

And for the comment about imagine the players that Billy D could bring in, remember UK was bringing in players hand over fists when the players were receiving FedEX/Emery packages.

 

The other time was when PITINO was the ONLY, remember ONLY, coach playing that style. Now you can pick and choose that style all over the place. If that is not an accurate statement, why is not Louisville overrun by McD AA's with Pitino as the coach?

 

Over and over the TBERS like to refer to Tubby's players. I have shown you that comparing Tubby with HIS players and Billy with his players and Tubby wins in EVERY CATEGORY except the national title from last year. And that was after Billy had been a flop in the NCAA tournament for 5 years.

 

As I stated in the Expectation's thread, I expect UK to be in the Sweet 16 with a chance at the Final Four, EVERY YEAR. Tubby has shown to be better at doing that WITH THE PLAYERS HE RECRUITS than Billy D has WITH THE PLAYERS HE RECRUITS.

My question is this:

 

If Billy D were to take over as UK coach, and his first 5 years at UK were equivilant to what he did over the five years prior to the title at UF would he be given a chance or would the fans want him out?

 

 

 

2000-2001: 24-7 2nd round

2001-2002: 22-9 1st round

2002-2003: 25-8 2nd round

2003-2004: 20-11 1st round

2004-2005: 24-8 2nd round

 

Would UK fans be able to deal with 5 consectutive opening weekend exits? I think not.

^ He would be run out of town way faster than Tubby is right now.
