Hopson and Edmondson didn't play in the 1st quarter. UHA turned the ball time after time to start the game. They went through a stretch in the opening quarter where they didn't get the ball passed mid court 4 consecutive times. By the time the 2nd quarters arrived it was over!

I agree, except dysfunctional is probably an understatement. Hopson had a shot at Mr. Basketball next year, but I guess that's way gone now with the way Miller and Mackey have played, and their teams seem to win a bit more often as well.

Not even sure if Keith Tandy played, this one looks as if it could have been worse and I'm not sure if any coaches in the area would let up on UHA if an opportunity was there to beat them worse!

Yes, Tandy played and played well. He's quite the talented all-around athlete.

Is Christian County the odds-on favorite to win the 2nd this year? I believe that the 2nd is paired against the 10th in the opening round of the Sweet 16; and more than a few folks see them as potential trouble for whoever the 10th sends to Rupp.

The region should come down to Christian and Henderson. They've already played once with Christian losing a heartbreaker, I think. They are both excellent teams that play well together.

Putting them out the first quarter? What good did that do? Keller benched Scotty for the entire Hendo game and that really got through to him. The County crowd was brutal chanting "go to practice" during the game. IMO, for deliberately skipping practice the week of districts, they should have rode the pine for the whole game. What a colossal waste of God-given talent.

 

Scribe, this was not directly to you. I was just piggy-backing onto your quote as to why they were benched.

UHA's two start decided not to come to practice the last two day. Imagine that you are about to play one of the best teams in the state and you don't come to practice! They were even telling teammates that coach would do nothing about it because they were the team. He should not have played them at all!! If anybody put Hopson on the all-state team they need their head look at. But don't worry they will get all the glory this summer with the AAU setups. I would get rid of them and start over from scratch.
