Mcfarland is going to be one of the best in Kentucky by the time he is done. I really belive that he plays with so much heart and passion and by the way he does have some skills to.

and that really good point guard will be there for a couple more years with those two.

They will be tough with 6'6" Earls at center, 6'4" McFarland and Flannery at forwards, and Popp and Gabbard at guards. Flannery can fill it up from 3, Earls will be a man among boys by the time he is a junior, and McFarland will be one of the best before he graduates. Popp and Gabbard will be one of the best, if not the best backcourt in NKY before too long. This group will have 3 more years to play together and develop. Earls and McFarland already start. I believe that the other 3 will either start or see significant varsity action starting next year.

Mcfarland is good, and one of the best at getting to the line, however in order to be one of the best he really needs to learn when to give the ball up, i've watched him play several times and he is really good don't get me wrong but he is a little selfish with the ball sometimes. Earls is going to be really good but he really needs to get stronger. I haven't really seen popp play but i've seen Mike play and he is pretty tough but kinda buckles under a press, If he can get that straightened out he will be a major asset to the team in the years to come.

Just wanted to point out that McFarland leads his team in assists with over 4 per game. In the Enquirer stats, he's listed 6th in NKY.

I would hope Flannery and Popp would get significant playing time at the varsity level next season. Flannery was the leading scorer on the JV team all season. I have never seen the leading scorer on the JV team, game after game, not get any playing time on the varsity team. Flannery is one of the, if not the best three point shooter in the state right now.

 

Can someone explain to me why the leading scorer on the JV team, never gets any varsity playing time?:confused: :confused:
