I can't see them competing for the NAIA Championship until they can get past University of the Cumberlands and Campbellsville. They do have a nice young team, but the chances of them all staying together may be slim. They lost 16 of the 41 Freshmen they brought in last year.n They are still missing some big sticks, if they can add some big sticks, they will be very competitive.

Not only do they have to get through Campbellsville and the Univ. of the Cumberlands, they would also have to get through region and national powerhouse Cumberland University (Tennessee). Certainly not an easy task.

I don't think the 16 that left will have any impact on GC's season.

Sounds like he just over recruits. Some coaches do that and let natural attrition take care of their numbers. 41 freshmen being recruited for one season is a staggering number in itsself.

I know that 4 of them would have had an impact on GC's season based on their performances last year. They lost their #1 and #2 third basemen and couple of their top 8 returning pitchers. :thumb:

Actually Pat Dad you cant be drafted out of NAIA either until after your junior season. Same as any 4 year NCAA school, but I know where you were coming from.

:thumb: Thanks for correcting me. I should have known the rule.
