BOTTOM LINE: Augusta is a senior dominated team and had chances to win in regulation, 1st OT, 2nd OT and blew it. Paris kept their heads high and fought until Dumphord got a tip on a blocked shot and put it in to win it.

Missed FTs, Bad Passes, TOs all by seniors arent going to win you a basketball game.

 

Augusta wins tonight and I say St. Pat is in trouble.. This loss can take a lot out of team and if they dont regain focus and keep their heads up then their season will be over quicker than the ol river town wants it to be

Don't think the Saints will have any trouble,regardless of the outcome of this one. When teams are close in skill level,you go with the one that has the star and thats Owens and the Saints.

Agree with this, one thing left out. How many times do you let a kid hit a three before you glue someone to him.

 

If we go after Sat Pat this way we will be in trouble. If we just focus on one or two players, the 3rd ,4th or 5th is going to kill us.

Yeah Augusta decided to pick their poison tonight... The zone played did well on limiting the Dumphord's touches, but it left Yeiser and Crump open a lot.. I dont think it was so much the defense, but good ball reversal against a zone will free up shooters.. Give Paris credit, they knocked down the shots tonight!

Tough loss on senior night. Congrats to those seniors who did play their last game at home tonight. Although your careers playing games inside the Den is over, your career as a whole is not with one more season game, then off to the postseason.:thumb:

It works if its done the right way, but most of the time its not. Most high school kids are confused enough keeping up with their own man let alone trying to know where they're supposed to be on a 1-3-1

Augusta must be wondering what they have to do to win a close one.

 

I believe that they lost in OT at Newport and now lose in 3OT to Paris must be very frustrating.

 

Credit Paris who seems to be winning with more regularity lately.
