However I just pointed out in this thread that another top notch school has also passed up on a great basketball player who pretty much begged to play at a school yet they still passed them up, and they go on to tear up that team that turned them down...

Arizona definitely has lived up to their expectations at all this year. I really dont know you are trying to jump in this argument here. I started this thread just to show that other coaches EVEN GREAT COACHES miss on recruits. Apparently Olson had Collison begging him to come to Arizona just like Lofton was begging Tubby to come to UK, and both Olson and Tubby decided not to bring those guys in and now both of those players make those teams pay when they play them. I did not start this thread at all to compare two coaches, I started it to just show that probably every coach misses on recruits that end up being great players. Yet Mobaar probably didn't want to accept that FACT, so he tries to turn it around and just say well Olson has beaten 2 ranked teams this year, and I was just pointing out that Olson has also lost by 30 at home to a team that UK played closer on the road. Pretty much both of those arguments have nothing to do with this thread, but mobaar wanted to try to bring something like that up first, since I guess he really didn't want to comment much on the facts that the article had...

Secondly, I'm sick of the Lofton debate. The people who are mad because he's at UT at bad enough, I hate to see the other side picking the fight now too.

Well Arizona isn't doing that good of a job this year either with the guy they passed on, and they probably would have been better just like us if we both didn't pass on guys who wanted to come here...Also yeah I sick of the whole Lofton thing too, but for 3 years I have heard so much from all these guys saying how stupid are we for not going after a great player who wanted to come here, and now I have found proof that other great coaches have missed also on great players who wanted to play for them. So my point of this whole thing was not to compare Tubby and Olson, but just to show that every coach misses on players, and hope by having this one last lofton discussion that it would finally put an end to it all...

Because I mean you are so right, I mean yeah I always say that was a good loss and that I am proud of the team... I honestly would want you to find one post in any thread where I have said that I was proud of the team because it was a good loss. I have never said anything ever of the kind. So next time wont you actually know who you are talking to, before you make a statement like that claiming that I am proud of a loss and say stuff like it was good loss, because I have never and never will say anything of the kind...
