Final

Elliott pulls away in the second half behind solid defense and rebounding. Jonathon Ferguson and Evan Faulkner score 22 and 6 rebounds each. Ethan Faulkner scored 17 points to go along with 7 rebounds. Chris Knipp contributes 9 points.

Elliot keeps things rolling at the right time, good luck in the district!

By my count Ferguson had 8 rebs.

Chris Knipp had 11 points.

Ferguson and Knipp both had 4 asst.

Thought the whole team passed the ball well and moved it to the open man for easy baskets. Maynard came off the bench with 3 asst and 1 steal.:thumb: :thumb:

Here is Elliott's team stat's. Nothing is perfect, but these were taken off video and watched twice for a double check!!

Ferguson 22pts, 8reb, 4asst

Evan Faulkner 22pts, 5reb, 3steal's

Ethan Faulkner 17pts, 7reb, 2asst, 2steal's

Chris Knipp 11pts, 2reb, 4asst

Timmy Knipp 4pts, 7reb, 3block's

Jonathan Morgan 4pts, 4reb

Josh Greene 2pts 2reb

Jared Flanery 3pts

Tyler Maynard passed the ball very well ending up with three assist. He also played some good "D". Keith Center had two rebound's and 1 assist. All nine player's who played tonight played very well in my opinion. Some of the best hustle of the season ending up with thirty eight rebound's.

Sportsfan,

I think a big key to Elliott's post-season could be the recent development of Timmy Knipp. He is going to be someone very special in the 16th for years to come.:thumb: He dominated the paint while in the game against Ashland and it looks like he made a difference in this game as well.

Elliott does pass the basketball very well. They can really break teams down off the dribble and then once they get into the paint, they have the ability to interior pass the ball well to players who are looking for the pass. A lot of times, players will crash down but always expect the dribbler to shoot. You can tell they play a lot of games with each other as they always seem to know where the other is on the court.

Elliott County also rebounds very well from all 5 positions on the court. An underrated part of their game, that they do very well, despite not having a true "big man" or two in the paint.

Looks like Evan is getting very near 100% after breaking his leg this past summer. Nice game!!!!

I agree Sportsfan. This was a total team effort tonight. Though Maynard didnt have one of his better scoring games, he contiuned to work hard and contribute.

Having Evan injured was like having teeth broken off a chain sprocket. As you can see as of late they have been welded back on!!!!!!
